I've always been told I have a gift when it comes to drawing, and art in general. In the past I have drawn tattoo designs for a couple of my friends, and people are always asking for me to draw for them. I have always wanted to pursue a career in art, and over the past year or so I have been playing around with the idea of becoming a tattoo artist.
Finishing school I decided to take on something to preoccupy my time before I decide what career I want for the rest of my life.. (Damn the pressure is on.) I popped online and had a look at what beginner tattoo kits I could purchase, I found one on trade me for only NZ$85. It was very similar to the one I have attached a photo of.
I did a bit of research before diving straight in, and found that a lot of people who have tried to tattoo from home said that having 2 tattoo guns is the best way to go. You need to familiarize yourself with the equipment and by pulling apart the guns, playing around with them etc is very important to this process. The kit I have purchased also comes with most of the bits and pieces I need, I still need to purchase the inks, and perhaps once I get into it, some synthetic skin as well.
The kit I have purchased should arrive within the next few days, once it is here, I will upload some photos and play around with it a bit and continue on my tattooing adventure..
