As soon as I got my machines in the mail, I was way too excited to not give them a go. (If you havent seen which kit I purchased go read https://myastattooingstory.blogspot.com/2019/01/my-first-and-second-tattoo-machine.html ) I first tried to tattoo onto an apple and as you can see it didn't go very well, with my tattoos scratching up the apple and not much inking actually staying. I later realised this was because I had set up the tattoo gun without the nipple and my needle wasn'd held in place! This was because the instructions I had received in my kit was in English and [what I assume was] Japanese, so at times it was a bit hard to follow haha.
You can see that when I tried again (with the machines set up correctly this time) it was much more vivid and I think it came up quite well. But in saying this, I'll probably look back at these apples and be mortified with the quality of the work haha. I was away on holiday when I did these and had no internet so I couldn't research any videos or anything to be sure if I was doing it correctly, but in my opinion I think it was a good first go!
